Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including supporting the Regional office at out Prince George location with day to day HR operations as well as the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs, as required.

This position is primarily based out of the Prince George Office, 8 hours working Monday to Friday.




    • First point of HR contact to assist with employee enquiries ensuring appropriate follow-up and responsiveness.
    • Coordination of full-cycle recruitment: develop recruitment strategies, draft job postings, select and pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, develop and present job offers.
    • Process all new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and existing employee changes.
    • Facilitate the on-boarding process for new employees.
    • Provide information to employees to enhance their understanding of benefits, payroll and other HR policies and procedures.
    • Manage and maintain the HR shared drive and other systems.
    • Develop, administer, and maintain HR communications.
    • Organize corporate events such as quarterly lunch and learns, office functions, etc.
    • Manage Service Award program.
    • Represent Human Resources at Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings, work towards certification.
    • Assist with ad hoc HR reporting and other tasks/special projects as requested.




    • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build effective relationships
    • Detail and results oriented
    • Able to work with highly confidential information with professionalism and tact
    • Highly organized and able to multi-task while managing priorities
    • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • High proficiency in HRIS and other systems; ability to learn quickly
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written)




    • Bachelor’s degree or 3-year diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
    • CHRP or CPHR designation, or in progress, an asset
    • 2-3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
    • Experience in the mining industry an asset
