The role of Warehouse Helper will provide general labour and administrative assistance in all aspects of the Warehouse. Helps to ensure that the Warehouse team operates efficiently in all aspects of receiving, unloading, material handling and inventory control. Ensure that the warehouse is well organized and functional and that the computer systems are accurate and current. This is a temporary full-time position for a Special Project (Construction of Water Treatment Plan)




·         Perform the day-to-day activities of the Warehouse including unloading and material handling, ensure that all equipment and materials are unloaded and delivered to work locations in a timely manner and without damage.

·         Receive all deliveries and ensure all equipment and material is physically checked.

·         Ensure shipping documents are accurate and note any adjustments necessary for shortage, overage, damage or incorrect product. Reviews freight invoices for accuracy.

·         Record inventory at regular intervals and ensure inventory reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

·         Organize existing inventory to ensure easy and safe accessibility.

·         Follow correct procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials.

·         Ensure there are sufficient security measures in place for the protection of materials, equipment and the Warehouse facilities.

·         Ensure that all Warehouse activities are closely monitored and are in line with the Company’s policies and procedures, including safety and environmental compliance.

·         Complete records and documents for materials and equipment leaving the Site.

·         Check stock variances and complete reports.



·         Grade 12 diploma or GED.

·         Preference will be given to those who have completed Warehouse certification.

·         Completion of “Dangerous Goods” course.

·         2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, material handling and logistics.

·         Previous experience in operating warehouse equipment.

·         Valid driver’s licence and clean record.

·         Computer aptitude with some exposure to material management software.

·         Highly customer-service orientated, and ability to follow through on instructions.

·         Strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

·         Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.



·           This position follows a schedule rotation of 14 days on site and 14 days off site.

·           This is a temporary full-time position which is subject to extension as per the requirements of the project.

·           Able to pass employment medical screening

·           Comfortable working in close quarters with the team & in extreme weather conditions.
