Mt. Milligan is currently seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to join our growing Maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mill Electrician will be responsible for various maintenance activities common to a surface hard rock milling and associated crushing, grinding, floatation, conveyor systems and support equipment.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintenance to structures and components of milling facility
  • Fabrications and product enhancements as required
  • Actively participate in various safety activities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections
  • Repair equipment in the field or shop
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Clearly write reports detailing work performed and problems found


Skills / Experience

  • Must have a Inter provincial Electrical certification
  • 3+ years experience in mining or industrial preferred
  • Proven safety and attendance record
  • Must have own tools
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products ie. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds is required
  • Willingness to work in adverse conditions
  • Self motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision

 

Work Schedule

  • The schedule for this position will be 7 days on 7 days off, 12 hours per day.
  • This position will be required to work inside the Mill and Crushing facilities or in the field as required.
