Maintenance Planner


Working as an integral member of the mine and site services maintenance team, the Maintenance Planner works to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment related to mine and site services operations. This requires an effective working relationship with procurement, warehouse and operations teams.


  • Assist warehouse and procurement teams in parts inventory management including reviewing purchase orders, returns, inventory adjustment, etc. to ensure uninterrupted maintenance activities.
  • Prepare bills of materials for fixed and mobile equipment based on input from fabricators, suppliers, maintenance personnel, procurement team, and others.
  • Review purchase orders, and bills of materials to ensure they are complete and accurate prior to releasing them.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of procedures for parts ordering and work orders to ensure effective and efficient maintenance practises.
  • Assist to ensure compliance with all maintenance-related procedures.
  • Ensure all required personnel, equipment and materials are available for every fixed and mobile equipment maintenance activity.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.


  • 5 years experience in a similar position and/or a strong working knowledge of fixed and mobile equipment maintenance planning and inventory management.
  • Experience in heavy industry, preferably in underground mining.
  • Red Seal trade qualification and industrial experience in a trade.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience in CMMS enterprise system, preferably Ellipse.


  • This position follows a schedule rotation of 14 days on site and 14 days off site.
  • Able to pass employment medical screening.
  • Comfortable working at a remote location and in extreme weather conditions
