Summary

Reporting to the Senior Site Treasury Accountant, the Accounts Payable Advisor is responsible for working with the processing of all invoices for Centerra Gold’s Mount Milligan operations and works in conjunction with the Accounts Payable team to ensure that best practices are applied. Individual successful in the role has a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities 

  • Process accurate vendor invoices and credit memos matching purchase orders.
  • Process NOI (Non-order invoices) with proper GL and cost center codes in compliance with company exceptions to create a purchase order requirement and follow up with proper approvals.
  • Process vendor consignment settlements in the ERP system.
  • Monitor good/service received no invoiced (GR/IR accounts) in the ERP system.
  • Prepares cash balances and estimate payment reports for treasury department before payment run..
  • Prepares payment runs (EFT, cheques, Wires, Bill payments, downpayments, Intercompany settlements and bank transfers) and send to accountants for review and approvals.
  • Monitor and process any void cheques or rejected payments as required.
  • Reconcile statement of accounts and maintain relationship with vendors.
  • Monitor vendor terms and accounts payable aging report.
  • Maintain accurate vendor banking information in ERP system.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable files.
  • Prepares month end invoice accruals for accountants.
  • Identify invoices with discrepancies and coordinate with keyholder to resolve issues.
  • Support internal or external audit requests.
  • Monitor side access – Warehouse/freight drivers’ compliance.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  • Completed High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year in Accounts Payable
  • Experience in Heavy Industries preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP and Concur an asset
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

Working Conditions

  • Position is fully remote, work from home with a set work schedule on a 5x2 work schedule, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
  • Work consists of an intermediate degree of social interaction on the phone, and through emails
  • Regular exposure to multiple priorities
  • Work includes manual dexterity to use desktop computers and peripheral devices,
  • Mount Milligan is a safety-sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a ZERO – TOLERANCE policy, with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs/paraphernalia on site.
