Mount Milligan, located in central British Columbia, is a conventional truck and shovel, open pit copper and gold mine and concentrator, with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant. Mount Milligan has an estimated mine life of nine years, with proven and probable reserves totaling 959 million pounds copper and 2.4 million ounces gold.



Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Infrastructure, the Superintendent, Site Services is responsible for supervising and providing leadership for a multi-function site services department. Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to all site road systems, buildings, water and sewer systems, waste disposal, fire alarm and suppression systems and snow removal.



    • Assist in planning and executing capital projects and other large construction projects.
    • Comply with environmental guidelines to meet guidance from all levels of government.
    • Manage resources to maintain and enhance critical equipment performance and availability.
    • Implement actions to optimize process performance and attain efficiency targets in the areas of labour productivity, equipment utilization, and material consumption.
    • Promote Safety, Health & Risk awareness at all times and ensure adherence to Company safety standards.
    • Coordinate with other department to accomplish work at hand.
    • Establish and maintains sound working relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
    • Recommend staffing requirements and participates in the hiring process.
    • Evaluate staff performance and provides feedback
    • Recommend Continuous Improvement Initiatives & oversees implementation of approved initiatives.



    • The ideal candidate for this role will possess many or possibly all the following attributes
    • Completion of a relevant trade certification or Engineering Degree/Diploma.
    • 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
    • Building maintenance experience, preferably in a mining operation.
    • Knowledge of standards as related to buildings, water and sewer and fire alarm and suppression systems.
    • Ability to prove your commitment to Safety, Health, & Risk, and Environment standards.
    • Understanding of water pumping and pipeline design criteria.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skill.



    • The role is located at the Mount Milligan Mine, which is approximately 155 kilometers northwest of Prince George, British Columbia.
    • Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region. Employees accessing the site from outside the region are eligible to receive a tax-free travel allowance commensurate with the distance they are required to travel.
    • Able to work in close quarters with a dedicated team of professionals.
