Summary
The Electrician Apprentice will be responsible for various maintenance activities common to a surface hard rock mining and milling operation and the associated crushing, grinding, flotation, conveyor systems and support equipment.
Responsibilities
• Assisting with repairs and maintenance to structures and components of milling facility
• Assisting with fabrications and product enhancements as required
• Actively participate in various safety activities
• Performs Preventative Maintenance inspections
• Repair equipment in the field or shop
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Clearly write reports detailing work performed and problems found
Education & Experience
- Must be willing to achieve an Interprovincial Electrical certification
- Proven safety and attendance record
- Must be willing to obtain trade tools
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds is required
- Willingness to work in adverse conditions
- Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid Canadian Driving License.

Working Conditions
- Work involves a camp-based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 7/7 work schedule, Tuesday to Monday, 12 hours per day.
- Candidates must be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts, up to 12 hours in duration.
- Regular exposure to working indoors and outdoors, continuous noise, working around machinery with moving parts, around heavy equipment and in close proximity to others.
- Exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
